A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Polytechnic Institute, chaired by Alexander Azhgaliyev.
One of the key issues discussed at the meeting was the further development and improvement of the open-air museum, as well as the expansion of its collection with new exhibits of agricultural machinery.
The participants discussed various proposals aimed at improving and landscaping the museum area, preserving the existing exhibits, and creating conditions for the museum to become not only an attractive feature of the institute’s campus but also an important educational site for students and visitors.
Special attention was paid to the history of the Department of Agriculture, which previously operated at the institute and made a significant contribution to the training of qualified specialists. This history is an integral part of the establishment and development of the Polytechnic Institute. It is important for today’s students to know the history of their educational institution, remember those who laid its foundations, and respect the contributions of previous generations of faculty members and graduates.
The open-air museum is much more than a collection of old agricultural machinery. Each exhibit is a witness to a particular era and a valuable part of our heritage, reflecting human labor, the development of engineering thought, and the agricultural history of our region.
Such sites help younger generations understand the continuity between generations, appreciate the value of meaningful work, and develop a sense of responsibility for preserving historical heritage.
A number of meaningful proposals were put forward during the meeting. The participants expressed hope that graduates of the Polytechnic Institute would continue to demonstrate a genuine interest in the institution’s further development, maintain close ties with their alma mater, and contribute to joint initiatives whenever possible.
It is especially important that every graduate remembers their student years with warmth, cares about the future of their alma mater, and strives to contribute to the preservation of its history and traditions.
