The Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University has joined the international Erasmus+ project of the European Union, «University Endowment Fund Development in Kazakhstan» (UNIFUND), aimed at developing endowment funds at higher education institutions in Kazakhstan.
On September 24, 2026, the University signed the Grant Agreement for the project.
The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University serves as the project coordinator and grant holder.
The European partners of the project are the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and Sofia University «St. Kliment Ohridski» (Bulgaria). The project also involves the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Atameken».
Participation of Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University in the UNIFUND project will provide opportunities to exchange experience with Kazakhstani and European universities, explore modern approaches to the establishment and management of endowment funds, and contribute to the development of practical recommendations and mechanisms for advancing endowments within Kazakhstan’s higher education system.
