The Asian Regional Badminton Championships (Central Asia) were held from August 27 to September 2 in Khujand, Republic of Tajikistan.
Athletes competed in the U16, U19, and U23 age categories. In the Mixed Team event, Zhanerke Sagyndyk, a student of Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian-Technical University, won second place. She also achieved strong results in the Individual Event, winning third place in the singles category, second place in doubles, and third place in mixed doubles.
It is worth noting that Zhanerke Sagyndyk is a second-year student majoring in Operation and Maintenance of Oil Production Facilities.
According to the West Kazakhstan Regional Badminton Federation, three athletes represented the region at the international competition. The Kazakhstan national team demonstrated strong results in the team event.
«Such major competitions provide young athletes with an opportunity to gain international experience, improve their skills, and test their abilities at a high level», the West Kazakhstan Regional Badminton Federation said in a statement.
